How to create the canopy fabric in solution-dyed acrylics
-
Fiber is dyed through
All fibers in a solution-dyed acrylic are dyed in the same or similar color as the fabric. This allows the canopy fabric to achieve the high color fastness and durability required by the ISO classifications.
-
The cloth is woven
The cloth warp is prepared for weaving along with the weft in the looms. Dickson-Constant uses state of the art machinery for exceptional quality.
-
The fabric is treated
The canopy fabric undergoes a wide range of chemical and heat treatments to achieve the various properties that Sunbrella Plus canopy fabric maintains. For example, anti-mildew, UV resistance, water resistance etc.
-
Testing and quality control
Rigorous checks are carried out. First, a series of tests are carried out to ensure that the ISO certifications are maintained, then each meter of cloth is examined both by a person and by machine for weaving errors.
