This is a Winter Cover for sailing boats where the boom and possibly the spinnaker pole are used as support. A winter cover with rigging can be built both for sailboats that are ashore during the winter and those that remain in the water with the rigging on. This winter cover covers the entire deck and has a skirt down the side of the hull and is made in fibertex in its original design. Read more about Fibertex and PVC under Winter Cover. The winter cover is attached to fixed points on the deck and the skirt is held down by bags filled with sand or water. A winter cover with rigging is sewn in two parts and zipped together at the mast and shroud. Zippers are also sewn in the bow and stern for easy entry and exit to your sailboat.

Winter Cover in Fibertex or PVC?
Winter Covers from Kapell & Annat are available in Fibertex fabric or PVC. Fibertex fabric is light, strong and breathable and is a felt-like material. The fabric is made of recyclable bioresistant material that is not attacked by mold and your Winter Cover does not rot either. Thanks to these properties, you reduce the risk of your boat being attacked by mold during damp autumn and winter days. In particularly exposed areas, the non-woven fabric is supplemented with PVC to prevent winter cover abrasion against the stand.
PVC is a very strong material suitable for winter covers in all weather conditions. PVC is more durable and can withstand high loads such as snow and ice. A Winter Cover in PVC is more common the further north you go.
